Hi all, Having a few problems with my new pny 6600gt
I can play older games like jedi knight 2 just fine.
but when I try to run 3d mark 2003 or play everquest the 3d models are missing pieces and I can see through them. I tried different drivers and even returned the card and got a new one. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I did search for some answers but didnt find any. The drivers im using are 66.93. Im thinking maybe my mobo is to old but it does have agp 2.0 and the card is supposed to run in 2x.
system specs
MSI 694t pro via 694x chipset based mobo
intel p3 1ghz
512 mb ram
linksys network card
pny 6600gt agp
soundblaster 5.1 live gamer
enermax 435w power supply

Aoc 19" crt
Ensure you followed PNY's instructions for removing the old driver(s) and precisely followed the drivers for installing the new card. It makes all the difference in the world.
Use the provided drivers from PNY and NOT any from automatic updates. I have this exact card it is flawless.

When I did the initial instal I did remove the old drivers and have done so before each re-instal. I did a search for DriverCleaner, downloaded it and used it. Still no help. I then reformated and did a fresh instal. Still the same problems. Any other advice suggestions etc?
these might solve the problem, it helped with a friends 6600gt, later drivers made it crash randomly we have no idea why but these drivers ran it cool.
I enabled fast writes in my bios and now it runs everquest fine. I just cant get it to go past test 2 in 3dmark 2003 without locking up. Im assuming it is via and nvidia driver/chipset incompatability. Im just going to save up to upgrade my mobo, proc, and mem. Thanks for all the ideas. /salute
