Idin't they ahve the same issue with an administrative user a while back that led to celebrity accounts being hacked?

At this point I wouldn't trust their security at all... luckily I could care less about the self promotion that goes on there.

That's the kind of password an idiot would have on his luggage!
July 16, 2009 3:20:13 PM

Please tell me this signals the beginning of the end for the Twitter hype. 4 months ago I didn'nt know what Twitter was. Now I can't even read a darn news story without it mentioning how Twitter was involved.
July 16, 2009 3:20:15 PM

That's great. The administrator account at my school is "administrator".. brilliant eh?

July 16, 2009 4:26:40 PM

Maybe they should have made it Joshua?
July 16, 2009 4:32:59 PM

CAPITOL != CAPITAL

Apparently it's harder than we think.
July 16, 2009 4:37:38 PM

This just restores my belief in the fact that no matter how many certifications and how much education you have you can still be an IDIOT! You just get paid very well for it because you have the "paper credentials" for what you are doing.

Make it longer, you need to fill all 63 allowable characters for WPA2, that's only 49. The saddest thing is I've met several people who do 63 random charcters for their WPA2-protected home networks, and yet a huge website like Twitter fails epically in it's choice of passwords.

yeah some one needs to get fired and in the event of them being to 'high up' then probation and salary cut to cover losses. at the very least make it P@ssw0rd or N0ve!!
July 16, 2009 6:33:05 PM

you would have to be a coder to get that one. =P

Perhaps the administrator took it literally.

Give the guy a break..... He spent a lot of (wasted) money and a (waste of a) lot of time in those classes to get his degree. He was just following the instructions as directed....... I sure am glad that he is not a penetration tester.
July 16, 2009 7:31:17 PM

They could of at least set their password as "drowssap" like I do.

Way to make it hard to decipher Twitter.
July 16, 2009 9:42:14 PM

Wow. If it was actually "password" wouldn't some script kiddy already have hacked twitter?
July 17, 2009 12:26:04 AM
