ATI X800 XT Platinum vaporware?

The ATI card was supposed to be released last July. I ordered in October, with a delivery date in November, then Decemeber, ... and now they state they don't have any ETA.

Anyone aware of what the issue is? Is thare a problem with these cards that they can't be made?

You can get one if you want a PCI-E version. The AGP versions are next to impossible to find due to ATI prematurely switching to that format and misreading demand. Now supposedly, they've got sufficient stock of parts to manufacture the X850 XT PE in bulk but I'll believe when I see it. I got my HIS Excalibur X800 XT PE from SuperPCMart.com

They had some for sale last week. Check em out if you see one buy it.

cards are scarce but it's far from Vapoerware.

Vaporware would be the GF6800UE, X700XT, nVidia Soundstorm2, Alienware ALX, etc.

This is simply low supply (even if engineered that way) like the GF5800U, R9800PRO-256mb, FX5700DDR2.
