Hello,

Im currently running a PC with the following:
an AMD Duron 1100 (1.1 Ghz)
512 MB of 266 DDR RAM.
MSI K7N420 (MS 6373) Mobo

Im interesting in upgrade my video to an Ati Radeon 9600 XT 128 MB AGP card. But my mobo manual states "the APG slot does NOT support 3.3V AGP cards." It can only support 1.5 V cards.

I need to know if the Radeon 9600 XT is a 3.3 volt card or a 1.5 volt. IF not, what cards DO run at 1.5V?

Thanks

I believe the 9600 series can run 1.5v 4x AGP or .8v 8x AGP, but not 3.3v 2x AGP. So you should be good to go.

Anyone know better?

To begin with, 3.3v cards have been off the market for YEARS. So you can put in any modern AGP card. They'll all run 1.5v.

Now, some cards are 1.5v but have 3.3v compatability, they switch automatically which is a bonus for upgraders. However, the 9600 series doesn't have that bonus, they only operate at 1.5v and 0.8v via automatic detection.
