All,
Sorry if this topic has been breached before. I've been looking over
documents and this group, but I'm a newb at board repairs, and figured
I might find the information in terms I can understand faster if I just
start a new thread.
I have a Galaxian board that I'm having problems with. Firstly, it's
actually a Super Galaxians board "by Silver Systems" according to the
title screen. That's not my problem. The problem is that any swooping
attacker appears as four numbers, like this:
20
31
Or something like that. Also, the missiles being fired by both the
player ship and the attackers are not visible. Any quick solution
suggestions?

Try looking at the outputs of the 74LS139 at location 4C. If they're
okay then grab the schematics from, say, crazykong.com and work
forward from the 74LS139. If the outputs are bad but the inputs are
good then that chip could be faulty. If the outputs are bad AND the
inputs are bad then work backwards from that chip using the schematics
for reference.
