I did exactly what you said and very easily too I might add. Just one
problem. When I clicked on "sound device" nothing shows up on the right
pane. So now what do I do?

P.S. As far as I know I don't have any CD programs to install sounds on my
computer.

PS Try to respond in the origonal thread.
You'll probably find it easier if you use a dedicated newsreader, eg Outlook
Express newsreader.

I didnt suggest you email, just that you use the Outlook Express Newsreader,
with this it is easier to follow a thread/watch a msg, than by using the ms
news web interface that you are using.
The newsreader can also be accessed via IE under Tools/Read Mail and
News/News
Run Everest
Check in Devices/Windows Devices/Sound, video and Game controllers
see what is listed
Also your system should have come with installation cd's, apparently it came
with a win cd, there should also be a motherboard/drivers cd

Okay I've looked in Everest Home Edtion and found everything just as you
said was there, but what exactly am I looking for and what do I do when I've
