On my recently purchased DELL Dimension 3000 with E173FP flat panel
monitor, any screen saver that I select does not activate after the required
time (yet the preview works) and the monitor does not go to power standby
either. When the system shuts down the mentor does go into power standby
mode.

Anyone have any ideas why this should occur?
