Every once in awhile I get an email about Kyle's Ms Pac CT plans, only
because I made the cabinet in the pictures he supplied with the PDF files.
Almost every email is about the laminate I used so I thought I'd post a
reply for those who search Google.
I provided my laminate info to William Miller in response to an inquiry and
he sent the following: "Thanks for the info, I looked up W313A and it shows
up in the Wilsonart Laminate product list as Gunstock Walnut. Unfortunately
it's discontinued. However Brighton Walnut looks close enough for me." I
used the gunstock walnut on my cabinet and it looks nice, but use whatever
you can find. The original color on Ms Pac CT's is no longer made, so do
the best you can in selecting a color. The most important thing is the
thickness of the material. Make sure you use the 1/16" (roughly) thick
material and not the thinner laminate that is available. This allows the
final panel to match 3/4" T molding in thickness for a nice flush fit. Hope
this helps someone.
