6600gt vs. X800

Which of these cards would you recommend? If the 6600 is better, is the 1.6ns 128MB or the 2ns 256MB (both Gainward) the better buy?
The X800 is Sapphire or Powercolor, but I have had bad experiences with Powercolor in the past, so I am little biased towards Sapphire.

The choices are only these brands since I am getting a big discount on them. Thanks for your help.

From what we have seen, the X800 is better than the 6600GT, and competes well with the GF6800. But pricing is not the same. The 6600GT PCI-e cards are under $200, while the X800's are way above their $200 announced price. The 6600GT is the better buy until X800 prices get down near $200. The only area that the 6600GT seems weak in is resolutions of 1280x1024 and above with FSAA turned on. Otherwise it's a serious performer for the price.

Shoot, are your prices similar? If so go X800.

x800 is a 16 pipeline card, definately the better one. especially if your getting a discount

The X800XL is 16 pipes, but the X800 is 12 pipes.

I would say definitely go with x800xl, its much better than x800, and also stay away from power crapper

the x800 12 pipline is better than the 6600gt, the x800xl is amazing buy that if you can.

stay away from powershitter.
