Windows 7 Audio drivers for PM915-478

I installed windows 7 Enterprise edition and the only hardware driver not loaded in device manager is the audio drivers.
The Albatron support website only has xp drivers unfortunately..... Anyway I will keep searching but if someone can help that would be great.

Cheers,
Marsh.

  1. If the support site only has the XP drivers, chances are that there aren't any W7 drivers. However, you can try the XP driver by doing a manual install via the control panel, i.e. install a new hardware device.
  2. Honestly I am surprised that that hardware is Windows 7 compatible at all. 32 bit will work but to be honest Windows 7 was not really designed for hardware that old. You might be faster keeping XP.
  3. From this Albatron Page, you can see that the audio is Realtek AC 97 audio.

You can get the audio driver directly from relatek site. Here's the link!

But I have to agree with Anort, your system will be faster/better with XP than Win 7.

Age of hardware is not important. Driver availability is.

Speed is important too. Thus age.
