X700, X800 & X800XL AGP benched vs. PCI-e versions

The Rialto bridge looks really impressive... inperceptible differences in performance vs. their PCI-e brethren: about 1 fps, even at 1600x1200 resolution!

Nice find. HKepc is usually among the first with the info.

I didn't expect there to be much perfroamcne differences, I'd like to see some video offloading benchies, but that's just for interest sake.

I think this will end up being a very nice card for people who were trying to move from their R9500/9600/9700/9800, etc.

Well, I've seen some AGP vs PCI-e benches in the past that differed by 5-10 fps in higher resoultions... but I was always curious as to wether or not the differences came from the differences in platforms/chipsets than anything else.

Still not sure, but this is encouraging.

One of the things is that some of the PCIe versions of the AGP cards were clocked LOWER than their AGP couterparts, which surprised the heck out of me when I first saw that.

Also there were comparisons using the prescotts with DDR2 versus regular AMD and P4EEs so thhat's not only an interface difference, but then the whole things is skewed.

That is nice to see benchies of the AGP's. The plain X800 sure would be a fine HL2 card for $200. Still need to see the prices confirmed; are they the same, $50 more, or inbetween?

I have been. No hiccups. Mostly been playing RON though and it's vsynch locked at 60 fps. No idea how to turn it off.
