X850XT problem

Hi all
Im having a problem with this card, every time I turn a game off after playing for about 5 mins, windows freezes.
Also im getting slow frame rates in games like HL2 at 1280 by 1024. I thought i would be able to run games at full settings with a card like this.
iv tryed different drivers from 4.8 to 5.2 and iv tryed reinstalling windows.
I get 6000marks in 3dmark05
please can someone help

Abit AN8 Fatality NF4 Ultra
athlon 64 3500 winnie
1 gig pc3200 crucial
ATI X850XT
Tagan 480 PSU
all at stock and power cable attached to graphics card.

Somethings definitely wrong... check your power supply readings.

If the supply is good, it might be a bad card...

whats the best way of checking the psu output?

Run asusprobe software or whatever utility your mobo supports... try motherboard monitor, maybe.

Check it idle and then under load. See what happens.

the 12v rail went from 12.11 to 12.22 after a couple of mins on 3dmark05
is this ok?

Your Grahpics card seems fine, It could be something else

I'm betting the RMA does not fix the issue. More likely a resource conflict or driver issue.

in the bios the pci-e bus is at 100 is it worth increasing
this?

Also, try the card in someone else's rig... if it works fine, it would also point to a problem specific to your system and not the card itself...
