When I power-on the system, the panel show the normal POST responses,
but (apparently) just as the system starts to load XP Pro, the panel
goes completely white for a few seconds, then all black, and then the
normal Windows is starting animated gui.

BIOS has initial display selectable as either EGA/VGA or AGP, but
neither choice seems to make any difference.

I've lived with this behavior since I installed the flat panel (1 1/2
years ago) so it may just be normal behavior of the panel; and it's
only a problem when I have to boot to the windows text-based start-up
options screen, which is hidden behind the white screen. Don't want
anybody staying up late about it.

TIA for any ruminations you care to throw my way.
