tempest gameplay

was playing a tempest today and was wondering .. when the red crawlers reach
the edge of the board how can you kill them without using a super zapper?

i know you can usually whip past them when they're coming towards you but
before you know it you could have a bunch of them trying to grab you.

On boards where the tunnels are not completly closed (half circle, etc)
sit on one far edge or the other and when they are about to nail ya
fire away. Not sure if it's a bug or legit trick, but I think I picked
it up on KLOW. works!

Don't just hold the fire button down. Tap it rapidly just as they arrive.
You'll create a continuous stream of single shots killing most enemies.
