I saw the ad for the big auction. Lots of 25" machines, gun games,
gumballs, etc. Supposedly over 1,300 pieces or something like that.

Did anyone go? If so, what were the prices like?

Heard there were virtually no classics, and only 10 or
so 19" monitor games (including the classics). The
rest was all operator style equipment (big games,
sitdowns, cranes, redemption, etc.).

Brett and I went, the prices were high on the working games, much
higher than you'd expect considering the number of pieces x number of
bidders. There were no classics, the vids were the typical fare you'd
see at the entrance of a Wal-Mart since they came from Sugarloaf
Amusements.

The bulk of the pieces were cranes and kiddie rides, as for pins there
were only three total- two Monolopies and a stripped Check Point (or
could have been something else). Many of the games that were
non-working were missing parts so it was a situation of buying more
than one to hopefully get a working game out of the set. *But* when
you figured the price of the set, it still wasn't a good deal.

For what it's worth, the SuperAuctions staff was very accomodating and
had a tent to shade the bidders and fans for cooling. Still- it was
HOT that day.

We didn't buy anything, but had a good time anyway and got a little
fishing in at Lake of the Ozarks.
