Where are the AGP X800XL's?

Anybody here know where to pick up an AGP version of the X800XL? Have they hit the street yet?

Much obliged.

  2. And they will probably cost up to $50 more than the PCI-e versions.

  4. Only one I have seen is the ATI AIW X800XL AGP at Newegg. It's a steal for $350 after rebate considering that is plain X800XL's list price when it come out.

What I can't figure out is, where is Rialto on this thing? It seems it's just a underclocked AIW X800XT priced to Sell!!! I want it. Check out the Domino break out breakout box connectors. sweet.

LOL, shoot, some newegg user had already posted what I thought I discovered. Must have been Cleeve, he beats me to everything.

  6. Sweet deal!

Notice also that it uses a Floppy power connector, obviously not enough room on the PCB for a molex connector after all that additional stuff.

Pretty damn good deal really, especially for the AGP owners.

  7. The word on the street is, the Rialto-less X800 XL AIW is actually an X800 XT or X850 XT core... thats the only way to explain the absence of Rialto.

Love to see what happens when one of these puppies lands in an OC'ers hands...

  8. I'm not sure how well they'll OC considering that they are stuck with a FDD connector which doesn't offer as much clean power.

I wouldn't be surprised if they go higher than the XL (damn non-Low-k 110nm cores can't OC worth a damn!), but it may be somewhat limited overall compared to a regular XT or even moded PRO ViVo.

But it's a damn fine price to give it a shot.

  9. Newegg and their sister site chiefvalue, both have the Powercolor X800XL rialto AGP card in stock now.

  10. $369? Ouch, there are some 6800GT's out there around the $350 mark.

Then again, this is the vanguard of AGP X800 XL's, I have to assume they'll drop down past the $350 point in a month or two.

Still, funny that the price delta is so high between the two cards in PCI-e, and nonexistant in AGP.

  11. Actually Cleeve you can get 6800GT for less than that.

  13. Looks like the X800XL is putting some pricing pressure on the 6800GT.

  14. From my point of view, on the PCI Express platforms, the X800XL most definently has a big advantage, of better performance at stock and 40-70 dollars cheaper. On the AGP side, i'd still go with a good old EVGA 6800GT, guranteed overclockable to ultra speeds, while i haven't heard of any X800XL reaching X800XT's speeds.
  15. Bonus plan is that that it looks like their release is having a good pricing impact on the rest of the cards. Either that or the prices are just doing the normal drop, but there was a cose proximity to the two occurences.
