Hi, i have a friends compaq celeron and it has an error, i think its software related, anyway it wont load up windows. Its asking for the boot disk that was made for the system and wont do a install without this disk, which i dont have. Its telling me do contact compaq. Anyway will any boot disk for windows 2000 help it reload windows, is there a way to do a clean install without this disk and compaqs version of windows which seems quite bodged. And if therse options wont work is there any reason i cant do a clean install with a full version of windows, i have xp but i think i need more than 64 megs of ram. Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
