Just look on ebay and there is only ONE x800xt agp card and a TON of x800xtpe agp cards. Im pissed of since I dont wannna spend the additional 150-200 buck when I can get the x800xt and oc it to x800xtpe. Since I havent found much difference between the 6800gt256 and the x800xt, Ive just flipped on it. Both deliver the goods between Doom 3 and HL2 and they each give a tiny to gain a tiny however x800xt has a good advantage in FarCry. Now of any places where I can get either BBA or saphire x800xt for decent price?

There are tons of X850XT's out there, and some X850XTPE, well that's true at least in Canada. X800's should be dissapearing, the X850's were made to replace them. If you don't care about SLI anitec.ca sells X850XT PCI Express built by Sapphire for 569CAD, which is about 200 dollars cheaper than average price in Canada.

Since Greenspan has recently raised short term interest rate again, so the dollars should be going up then buying canada may seem like remotely a good idea, I still don't recommend it, since there's a customs fee.

Well this rig does not have PCIe and wanted to upgrade via AGP to get the rig good for another year before I do the full upgrade.

The price difference new now between the X800XT and X800XTpe is about $50. $425 vs. $475, both are under list price. Newegg has both Sapphires in stock.

IMO, a X800XT is > than GF6800GT performance wise. I think it's more on par with a 6800U.

About so, Ive just been looking over the benches in the games to compare the cards and notice a mean between the x800xt and 6800gt/ultra with just a trade off with D3 and HL2 and ATI having an advantage with FarCry.

I play HL2, Farcry, NFSU2, and Flatout. Flatout doesn't seem very demanding. But in the other three, the X800XT really would be better for me than my 6800U. But I also bought chronicles of riddick, so the 6800U is supposed to do well at that.

Yeah I hear that. The only reason Im considering the g6800gt is for Doom3 and the wouldbe users of the D3 engine, which is yet to bloom but I really like Doom3.

I was in the same boat as you addiarmadar, but with AGP it just makes sense to go 6800 series. It seems alot cheaper, Ati's AGP offerings are unreasonably priced IMHO.
