Sony cybershot WINDOWS 7

I have a SONY CyberShot DSC-H20 and can't get WINDOWS 7 to recognize it i the USB port. Is there a fix out? I can not find one.

According to the MS Windows 7 Compatibility site (HERE), it should work. I have to ask since I don't have this camera; does the camera have to be powered on to be detected?

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

Install the SONY software, connect the CAM and turn it on with that should be recognize.

I have 64 bit Windows 7, and even though it would not allow me to install the driver that came on the disc, I was able to transfer pictures from the camera to my computer with driver that came with windows 7 by just dragging the pictures on the camera to my pictures folder on my computer. It did have to be turned on.
