Seems to be USB driver problem.

Have you installed all the latest motherboard drivers including USB drivers??

Try unplugging the printers & plug them in other ports.

Have you installed printer drivers for both of the printers, if not so, do them first & try again!

For your HP printer, download the latest drivers (select 32/64 bit Win7) from here

For Epson printer, get it from here

Advice was great. I had several motherboard drivers to update. Got all to update except for USB drivers. Win7 won't recognize the updated driver hence, no installation. I have latest printer drivers and I think that it is the USB drivers that is precluding the devices from installing. I am still working on it. Thanks for your help. Won't list my email address again.

I found the issue loading a 2480 color HP printer and why it did not work. There is a setting on the printer itself and services that the default setting is to turn off high speed USB. Just change the seeting to on and you should be fine. Once I enabled that it stated printing. Hope this helps.
