Should I upgrade my HIS IceQ 9800pro(128mb) card for a Club3d geforce 6600gt?
I know that Club3d is a major step down from His, but I could have a rather good deal with it.
Any suggestions?

NO WAY! Unless you have use for both cards. Otherwise, I'd save your money and think about a X800XL or GF6800GT as a good step above the 9800 pro.

The 6600GT and 6800 are better cards(than a 9800 pro), but IMO they are not enough to justify upgrading from one, especially a HIS.

taking off your pants to fart!
I used to hear my grandparents use that phrase in chinese...

The 6600GT is slightly faster than the 9800XT, so the only circumstance i'd upgrade in this case is if you only have to put in less than 25 dollars, if you can sell your 9800pro, and only add 25 bucks, then go for it, if it's more than that, i don't think it's worthy.

I used to have a 9800pro, have now upgraded to 6800GT. MUCH faster; 9800pro 3dmark05 score=1105. 6800gt score 5943 oc'd. These are AGP scores. I'm sure the 6600gt would score much higher than your 9800pro. But much more $$$!

The thing is that I have this gift certificate to a computer store, and I have no other use for it. I wasn't really planning on upgrading my videocard for a few years, but this possibility just popped up, so I could sell my 9800pro to a friend who has a Club3d 9600pro.
The 6600gt costs about 240$(I'm not from US), so I'd sell my HIS 9800 pro to him for about 160$(I could probably get 190-200$ elsewhere) and then use my 80$ gift certificate to get the 6600gt.
I know that the 6600gt wont be a major leap upwards, but I was concerned about it being a club3d product.
So what you are saying, is that it really isn't a big enough difference to justify the upgrade, but the fact that the new card will be a club3d wont make much of a difference?

Oh, and the 9800pro IceQ actually costs more in stores here, than the 6600gt.

Oh, and another thing. When I use the Atitool to find the max core speed, it finds artifacts already at 390, although the default clock is 378. Isn't that a bit too little, considering that the IceQ cooliong should provide me rather good overclock results?
