Now few days back my Network Administrator came to my place and told me that there r some viruses on ur system and u should use PC-Cillin to clean them, i used Norton but it showed no viruses. Than i installed PC-Cillin and it showed me 7 to 8 viruses, Now i am confused that which Antivirus software should i use, Norton or PC-Cillin? Which Antivirus software is best these days specicaly when u r connected in a LAN??????

Do you update your Virus scanner regularly?

The best one I have found is AVG6 which is free. Provided at wwww.grisoft.com I have had no problems with this and it actually fixes the virus detected not just tell me as my Norton used to do. I also recommend using it in conjunction with an adware removal tool like Search and Destroy.

This combination has saved me many a time form infected software ususlaly from Kazza or Imesh.

Virus Bulletin is a neat site to research for AV software. Sorry that Norton couldn't find those viruses, but just double-check and make sure that your virus definitions were updated when running a check.
