Decided! Got some cash to replace my GF card now. Guys know any differennce btw those two besides clockspeeds and 128mb BGA DDR 400mhz ramdacs? (clocked 750mhz)?

Price for Leadtek Winfast 6600GT AGP and Leadtek Winfast 6800LE is only USD$15+, I vote 6800LE.

Or you guys think otherwise?

Or do i wait for G70? R520?

Or? =( thanks guys.

If the 6800le is unlockable, then it's a better deal. Otherwise, you'll probably get better performance from a 6600gt.

i'd go with 6600gt just because it's faster all the way around. the 6800LE only has 8 pipelines, it's not a 6800, it doesn't have 12. the 6600GT has 8 pipelines but it's clocked higher, so it'll be the better deal. Never play the wait game with computers.

Well, the 6800nu is slightly above the 6600gt (mostly) in terms of performance, but slash another quad off the 6800 and I'd say performance would swing to the 6600GT's favor.

But the 6800LE is 256bit, the 6600gt is 128 bit? Won't that be something like 256bit 9800pro owns 128bit 9800pro?

Hmm, so are u saying that the higher clock speeds of the 6600GT will offset the 6800LE's 256bit memory interface?

I saw on a forum that one guy unlocked his leadtek 6800LE to 16/6 pipes...

But I pretty much decided on the MSI 6600GT AGP...

If I can unlock the pipes on the LE... hehehehehe, let me be the next WUSY.

Awwman, you guys think I shld get a vanilla 6800? but its around USD60~70 difference compard to a 6600GT. Exact prices are SGD500 for Leadtek 6800 AGP and SGD330 for Leadtek 6600GT AGP and Leadtek 6800LE for SGD385...

Not necessarily true. Many times they need cores that are used on boards for a lower price point. They may just disable some pipes if yields are good. In many cases, the LEs could unlock to 12 pipes at least.

I would stop taking that gamble after the first month of the cards' release myself. Because at first, odds are they are simply disabled, like so much success with x800pro's in the beginning, then it started becoming almost impossible.
