Has my card bit the dust if the screen flickers whenever I play games, and videos in windows media and real player flicker too. Its an xfx 6600gt agp version. I havent overclocked it, and I tried unistalling the drivers and installing them again. The card has worked fine in my system for like half a year.

Here are the other main parts of my system if it helps:
antec true550
asus a7v-333x
athlon xp 2800

I sprayed all the dust out and no luck. I tried disabling hardware acceleration, and now I can watch movies in windows media. Does that mean the card is broken?

Sounds like a driver issue. Have you tried reinstalling the drivers/trying different driver versions?

he already said he uninstalled/reinstalled his drivers.... to the other guy, does the flickers appear only on graphics intensive apps?

How are temps on the thing?

Yea, the flickering only happens in graphic intensive situations. Say for Doom 3 the monitor stays black, and for counter strike source the screen flickers and produces fragmented images, but the computer never stops responding, and there is nothing wrong with the sound. If I watch a movie on ifilm or whatever, the part where the movie is being played stays green and flickers to the image. Idle temp is 40c, which seems pretty normal to me.
