HP Envy 14 Spectre or HP Envy XT

Hello!
I've been debating for ages now which laptop to get between the HP Envy 14 Spectre and the HP Spectre XT.

I'm not an avid gamer nor do I download much. I just want something that will last me for university with a decent battery life.

One of the biggest differences in their specs is that the Envy 14 has an i5 intel second generation processor whilst the Specter XT has a third generation processor.

However the Envy 14 has a better screen resolution, a better battery life and a better track pad - however it is more expensive, slightly heavier and older than the Specter XT

Please help me out!
