Please explain. Why would someone want this? I'm tryinh to optimize my card the best I can.

They release revised drivers all the time. You'll have received some drivers on a CD with the card, which will just (at heart) be whatever the WHQL Detonators were at the time the card manufacturer shipped it.

There's little point for you in upgrading, unless you have a bug in a certain game, or when trying to use a specific feature, or you're <i>really</i> trying to maximise your bungholio marks.

You could look into what versions of the driver work best with your card, your OS, and the games you want to play, but if it's all working fine, why bother?

Are detonator drivers all together a seprate driver aside from nvida's? Like the latest nvidia is 71.89. What is the latest Detonator Driver? and if it is different. Are they better?

I think the detonator drivers were the old nvidia name for their video drivers. Now they're called Forceware IIRC.
