Hi,

Someone knows how works my recent documents folder? What is the dll system
that it use? Today, in my machine the my recent documents folder lists only
files *.txt, *.jpg,*.doc, etc.But files with .wav, for example, are not
listed in folder. Is there anyway to modify this filter? For display .wav
files in folder, too!

Thanks a lot in advance

Paulo,

Type CMD.EXE in Start/Run:

Type these commands in the prompt, and press Enter:

REG EXPORT HKCR\.Wav C:\wav.txt

EXIT

Now, open C:\wav.txt in Notepad, and post the contents here.

Paulo,

Now, post the contents of this key:

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Winamp.File]

I'm looking for the "EditFlags" value.

Paulo,

Open Regedit.exe and navigate to:

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Winamp.File]

* Backup the key to a REG file.*

Delete the "EditFlags" value in the right-pane.
Delete the "CLSID" sub-key under Winamp.File

Restart Windows.

Hi, Ramesh

Is the problem see if .mp3 is associated with Windows Media Player
(default)? See if that helps, for troubleshooting purpose.

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mp3
Set the (default) value to mp3file

Paulo,

Ok. Revert the setting back to to "Winamp.File" and then see if there is an
"EditFlags" value in these locations:

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\.mp3]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\audio]

If present, backup and delete the "EditFlags value".
