Hi I need help I have win xp pro on my computer and it has problems i just
bought win xp home edition i want to enable cdrom to boot from cd replace xp
pro hd with new clean hd reboot computer so the cdrom starts win xp home
setup and installs it on computer then swap out drives again and put xp home
as slave and pro as master copy files and settings from pro to home then
reswap drives to make the home edition drive the master and keep pro drive if
i ever need back up but run computer on xp home edition can this be done?? or
will i have problems?

If the system (%windir%) thinks it is a C drive, and you boot a machine with it in C:, it will boot. You will have problems if you
remove C:, with a system drive as some other letter.
