Whenever I try to access Task Manager by all means available, I keep getting
an empty command promt-like box, along with a pop up message that says
something like, "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT is not suitable for running
DOS applications..."
The title of the pop up message will have the path from above or it will say
taskmgr.exe or 16-bit DOS. I tried to do the same thing in safe mode, but
that does not even help.
Is there some kind of virus or worm that can cause this, or does it have
something to do with a registry error? If not, is there a download that I can
use to fix this problem?
