I have the latest nVidia drivers 71.89. I'm running the DVI out to a HDTV/LCD (Olevia Syntax LT30HV) 30". The HDTV/LCD supports native 1280 x 768 resolution. This resolution doesn't appear in the settings, but I was able to ADD the resolution set to 60Hz. Saves the mode, everything looks great. I play games at 1280 x 768 no problems.
THE PROBLEM -- if I restart my PC, the screen resolutions reverts back to 1280 x 720 NOT 1280 x 768. So I have to manually keep changing the resolution back to 1280 x 768 any time I restart my PC.
Anyone else have this problem or heard about this bug?
Very strange indeed, i have a 26" LCD TV, running at 1280x768 with my EVGA 6800ultra without any problems. What OS are you on? And be specific, like what SP.
I found a work around to the problem, if I set the screen resolution via the standard WinXP Display properties dialog box to 1280 x 768, no problem. The problem only appears when I attempt to change the screen resolution via the nVidia specific dialog box.
