I've an X800XT PE currently... and just started looking at what's what in graphics cards now. I've know what PCI-E is but what the heck is "fire-GL"? I think I've a handle on the upcoming "Crossfire" cards but am confused by the above term.

fire gl is for uber video editing and multimedia editing stuff if im not mistaken.

FireGL cards are mostly midrange Radeons that use a special OpenGL enhanced driver for more accurate rendering. Generally you'll pay 3-5x as much to get the same hardware as the gaming card.
