Hi. This is my first post here. I am looking to buy a 6800 Ultra AGP card. I have no clue which brand is better. I have looked at EVGA, MSI and XFX. I have no idea which one is better. Does anyone know of any links to some helpful reviews or has an opinion? Thanks.
I have a BFG 6800 Ultra OC and I am happy with it. But right now, I'd go for one of these 6800GT's (linked below) instead and save $100+. If you are in the USA, those are way better deals than any 6800U deals I have seen lately. $420 vs. $295 is a no brainer for my wallet. Actually though, in high end AGP, I'd go AIW X800XT BBA(built by ATI). It is on par with the 6800U, plus tv tuner/video capture, and far cheaper.
I did have a slight problem installing it, had to flash the bios so 2d and 3d speeds matched. I guess you could fix problem with coolbits too. Other than that, its sweet. Overclocks very well. I have mine running 460/1.15
For whatever its worth Nvidia's 7800 is coming out in a week or so.
