Early GF7800GTX benches, chinese style

I was snooping around in anand's forum and I found a few intersting links for early GF7 benchies.

There all I can say is im quite happy with my newly aquired 6800U!

Whoa, I took that url to babelfish and could hardly make sense of the translation. I'll reserve judgement on the results until [H], Toms, Anand, FiringSquad, B3D, ixit, etc release their reviews. My initial reaction is that in many cases (based on the chineese link only), I am not very impressed. Tomb raider is pretty amazing, but otherwise it seemed so/so. But then again the performance hit the card takes going from 1024 to 1600 is small, so maybe it's cpu limited even at 16x12 in some of their tests. It won't be long before we know just where this card sits compared to 6800U, X850XTpe, and 6800GT/U SLI. But in that review, I couldn't help think that X800XL isn't even doing too bad against it, so what could X850XTpe do against it.


I was dissapointed to see HDR screenies in SP:CT, without seeing the fps. Although I have no interest in buying it, that game's benchies will be intersting to see as it's clearly too much for the GF6 series.

umm... 7800gtx not that great? the x800xl rapes it on some benchies... lol they should've put like a x850xt pe in there just to give contrast

It's clearly going to be the fastest card out there, but that chineese review with benchie charts doesn't seem to show it will blow away all other cards. We shall soon see, but I get the hunch X850xtpe will hold it's own in some games, maybe even non-cpu dependentones like UT2004. I wonder if say in farcry, if the 7800GTX will about do to the X850XTpe, what it(XTpe) does to the 6800U. Victory for sure, but nothing to go crazy about.

Anyway, lets wait for the other 99% of the review info to hit, then we'll know for sure just how impressive/unimpressive this GTX really is.

looks like NV may have got their NFSU2 performance up to speed. Dang, my 6800U sure is crap compared to 7800GTX and X850XTpe. <A HREF="http://www.pconline.com.cn/diy/evalue/evalue/graphics/0506/644143_11.html" target="_new">link</A>

Lol thats a good poitn of view.
I still find it impressive, its a bit like buying a honda civic and make it run the quarter mile in less than 11 seconds and faster than a ferrari. You need some skills but what you need the most is lotsa money !

Its still better than spacedonkey, no skills lotsa money...

Edit: Oh and my civic example might not be the best because ppl like OPPainter dont buy a 6200Tc and make it run faster than a 6800!
