How to get a DirectX device on Windows 7

How does one get a DIRECTX device so games can be played when useing Windows 7 ?

Direct x is already installed and backward compatible. The problem might be your games are not compatable with windows seven. Right click your games icon and select properties. From there select compatability and choose an earlier version of windows. Also check the game makers website to see if it will run in windows 7.
