I buy about two dozen CD's per year. I have not come by any with copyright protection.
I don't like some of the interactive CD's that automatically load decoding software to your computer without asking first. Record companies should label interactive CD's that will load software to your computer so the user is aware before changes are made to their systems.
Sure the software can be deleteted but it still leaves entries in the Windows registry. I really hate having to reg-edit.

Yeah, they already cracked it. Apparently the program used to crack the protection actually makes it easier to rip a cd. (all you have to do is drag and drop into win explorer and it will make wav files of all the tracks) I don't know where to get this program, tho so don't ask =) a friend has it.
Maybe I'm being dumb but if I do a bitwise copy of a cd then it will be the same as the original, what I won't be able to do is make mix cd's to use in the car.
Record companies p**s me off if they cut the amount of profits they make on each CD to market them at a lower price people would buy more and pirate less. Music (at least in the uk) is a rip off, and reducing quality stinks.
