I have a brend new ATI (made by Ati) X850XT PE AGP graphic card!
http://www.ati.com/products/radeonx850/index.html

And It simply wont work with my “good old” Albatron K8X800 Pro motherboard.

Problem is very clear. When I put first time X850 in my PC, card start to act strange. Computer get block and similar. After that, I do a clean install of Windows XP on some other hard drive, install a new drivers, new VIA chipset drivers and all that.
After that, I got situation that computer work mostly decently, but after turn off, it want boot any more, unless I wait for some 35 or 40 minutes.
Then It’s boot normally. Also, it’s important to emphasis that PC can restart normally but cant wake up when I do shut down!
After some time, computer don’t want to even boot. Just starts fun on graphic card very loudly and never change the speed (like it used to do before; rotate fan at maximum speed for a few seconds and than reduce to a optimum 2D speed cooling)
So, I’m really don’t know what to do any more.

I give my best to made my card working with this MoBo but after seven (7) days of messing and loosing my nerves, I do nothing except I loose enormous amount of time!!!
What I try:
1) I bought a brand new Enermax CoolerGiant 485W Power Supply (I had Chieftec 360W before and MSI 9800XT worked like a charm with that old Chieftec one.)
2) I flash a motherboard Bios with last one!
3) I install all lates drives and so, but it’s wortless now casue computer want boot any moore.
4) I double check all my cables which connect X850’s power connector and try to connect with other ones
5) I take off all my other PCI cards (Audigy 2 and VIA chipset FireWire (i1394) one)
6) I check my memory modules (changed slots and so)
7) I erase BIOS few times.
8) I have Chieftec case and SIX (6) fans inside PLUS one Sanyo blower inside Enermax for exausting heat out of my rig! So nobody can tell that it’s hot inside my case!
9) I double check everything else, but my MSI 9800XT work without any problems, so it’s definitely some conflict between MB and ATI’s card.

And most important! I double check X850XT in other PCs and it works just fine. Nobody had any problem with that card except me!!! And they even had inferior PSUs!

My PC is always working OK, my electricity is OK and room is air conditioned, so I just can’t see any other issue!

Even with the new power supply you have the 35 minute delay before you can restart from a complete shutdown? It still sounds like a power issue, but if it's not your power supply overheating, it could be the motherboard VRM...but doesn't that card have it's own power plug?

Actually, with that new power supply, card don't even boot any more. And I don't think it's PSU now because Enermax 485W is rock solid Power Supply which deliver very good voltage to whole system!
Yes, card has it's own power plug, like a floppy one!

But I wrote mail to Albatron technical support. If they don’t answer to me, I will simply sell that MoBo and never in my life again buy something which has Albatron logo!

Does the old card work with the new power supply installed?

Yes, It's work perfect. I'm a professional computer user. Use it every day, full time. Rendering, photos retouching and so. Also, I build all my computers on my own and know a lot about comp. hardware. But I never saw something like this before! Now I'm rather curious to find out what is problem.
Also, X850XT work very nice in my friends computer!
So, few days more of this agony, and I will found myself a nice, new nForce 3 MoBo…

Thanks on your time!
