Hello everybody, I'm having some problems playing Divx or Xvid with 77.72, after reinstalling codecs, and forceware several times nothing changes. Colors on videos looks burned or like 8 bits color.
finally I returned to 71.84 and everything is ok now.

any of you have same problem????

My specs are:
AMD 3800+
MSI k8N Neo2
3gb DUAL CHANNEL, 2xhyperX, 2xGEIL
LEADTEK A400 6800GT
AUDIGY 2ZS
etc...

Im using K-Lite codec pack but also tryed individual codecs .

There some bug in the .72 I read that the default gamma is set wrong and just needs to be adjusted. Wish I could give you better info than that.

A default setting was changed indeed.

Simply go to your Forceware control panel -> Color Corrections -> "Apply Changes To:"
and select to "All" instead of to "Desktop" (so Video overlay too...) -> Apply -> Ok.
Problem solved and happily using 77.72 here.

you could use mediaplayer classic that comes with most serious codecpacks, it also let's you choose to hardwarerender with dx9 and pixelshader v2.0 and bicubic resampling, the difference to windows mediaplayer 9/10 is huge, it simply looks amazing. i still have the problem in webbrowsers though
