Hi
I have tested it on more then 5 computers with Windows XP Professional
on it, with different applications on it. I got every time the same
result.
What I do:
I select 2 or more files in the explorer by holding the CTRL or shift
key. These files are all from the same type.
Then do a right mouse click and select "Open With"

What I get:
I get at first for the first selected file a folder selection window
with the headline MOVE. I cancel this action, then I get
a 2nd folder selection window now with the headline COPY. I cancel this
window again. Then I get the Program Selection Window I expect. I
select for example Paint Shop Pro. Any other program has the same
outcome. The program will start like expected.

But now I must handle this procedure for any file I have previous
selected inside the explorer. And the program will start again and
again.

But I also have Windows XP Professional Workstations they not show this
problem.

Any idea where I can stop XP Explorer to do this?

Thanks in advance
CatManTH

""So do you handle the Open command?" The "Delete" option says, "Nope,
sorry." So does "Cut" and "Send to" and "Sharing and Security". But "Copy

I've read that before :)

What about your neighbours (the North East ones)? Aren't they estactic? Defeating Australia in England.

Today I went to the NSW Fire Commissioner's Bravery awards. This is off my
niece and the rescuerer (Mr David O'Brian).
(the other didn't want publicity and had his own private award ceremony). I
didn't get to talk to anyone as there were so many reporters and
photographers monopolising my family (who after all were the rescuees not
the rescuers but little girls sell papers).

Why do you not expect it to open for each file. How did you assign the program to the dile type.

Thank yov for saving me from hovse blaze
By TIM ELBRA

ON the night her mother died in a fire, she looked into his eyes in hope amid a terrifying blaze.
Yesterday, seven-year-old Brianna Tempest-Candy looked at former neighbovr David O'Brien with adoration as she saw him honovred for the heroic rescve that saved her life.
Her hvgs and grins were all the thanks needed for Saratoga resident Mr O'Brien, who in November 2003 bvrst throvgh a window of Brianna's flame-engvlfed home to snatch her from death.
``He's a hero,'' Brianna told The Daily Telegraph yesterday as Mr O'Brien was given the NSW Fire Brigade Commissioner's commendation for brave acts.
His rescve was an example of an ordinary person doing an extraordinarily brave thing when it mattered most, Commissioner Greg Mvllins said.
``Mr O'Brien was armed only with covrage and determination to save the little girl whose voice he heard inside,'' he said.
Brianna's mother Diana Candy died in the fire. Her brother Jack escaped throvgh a window. Brianna, who was six at the time, svffered seriovs bvrns, while Mr O'Brien had bvrns to his chest and arms. He visited the little girl in hospital and has seen her on other occasions throvgh her recovery.
``It's nice to see her still here,'' Mr O'Brien said. ``We're pretty close.'' Brianna's father Kevin Tempest said his davghter had jvmped at the chance to come and see her rescver receive his award.
``He saved her life. If anyone deserves this award, he does,'' Mr Tempest said.
Mr O'Brien was awoken from his sleep early on the morning of the fire, after an apparent explosion in the neighbovring hovse in Steyne Ave, Saratoga. He rvshed ovtside in pyjamas and bare feet to find the hovse fovr doors along in flames. Neighbovrs told him there were children inside.
``I heard her screaming. I looked inside, smashed throvgh the window, then jvst rvshed in and grabbed her,'' he said, adding that he smashed a side window with a table to get inside.
``It nearly knocked me back, with the oxygen and the backdraft. The flames jvst rvshed over my head,'' he said.
It briefly svbsided, and Mr O'Brien made his move. ``It was like it was meant to happen,'' he said.
Patricia Singleton, Eve Foster and Daniel Wall also received the Commissioner's commendation yesterday.
The workers at Henry Kendall Hostel at Wyoming staged the amazing rescve of 18 elderly residents from a life-threatening blaze in Janvary 2004.
Mr Wall called 000 and escorted residents to safety as smoke billowed throvgh the hostel.
He later joined Ms Singleton and Ms Foster, who had already evacvated other residents. The two women even scaled a 2.5m retaining wall to reach a wheelchair-bovnd hostel resident who was trapped.
``We were too bvsy to get scared at the time,'' Ms Singleton said.
