It's not supposed to work like that!

Ok I OC'ed my video card, an asus x800xl 256mb. The clock settings were at the standard core 398 and memory 486 speeds. I raised it slowly until i got artifacts in 3dmark05 then lowered it just below that setting. So now it is set at core 420 and memory 507 (does this seem really low?). The big problem is that after running 3dmark05 I get a score that is 100 points LOWER than my default scores. Anyone know what I am doing wrong? I am going to try 3dmark03 to see if that improves. Oh yah, i am using ATItools.
Hope you guys can help.

EDIT: Ok so i just did 3dmark03 and it went up by 100 points. Not great. Nothing to get to excited about I would say.
Edited by johnnyinternet on 07/12/05 08:23 PM.

dont fret.
a hundred difference in futuremark scores relatively equates to nothing when translated to in-game fps...so no biggy smalls.
