desktop appearance shifted left

My XP screen is shifted left and my icons are so far left I can't see them. I
tried changing pixels, but that only changes the icon sizes that I can see.
Somehow I need to bring everything over more to the right. Let me know how to
fix it. I'm sure it's an easy fix as I probably did it by accident in the
first place.

Use the buttons/dials on your monitor. They're usually on the bottom.

You might have to read the manual but most are easy to figure out. Use the
buttons on the front of your monitor and fix the horizontal positioning.
