Intel® Core™ i7-3610QM Processor
2.3 GHz (3.3 GHz with Turbo Boost Technology 2.0), 6MB L3 Cache
Mobile Intel® HM76 Express Chipset
Mobile Intel® HD graphics with shared graphics memory :bounce:

Built on HD graphics, be lucking if the menu isn't so laggy you can actually run the game. You need a good, dedicated video card for BF3.

i was confused about your answers sorry.. so what are your suggestions? do you have a laptop in mind? in geeks.com the laptop at 1st post seems the best one at their site.. :(

You don't need an i7. You do need a dedicated graphics card. If it says Intel HD it will not play games well. It needs to be Nvidia or AMD

you can play using i5 too...just dont get i3's
with ssd's you get faster reads and writes as ssd's are basically bigger flash drives. they are expensive...you will experience faster loading of the game but the framerate is dependant on the processor and the graphics card

i think this is a good all around laptop. its a dual core hyper threaded to four cores (one physical core acts as two logical cores), dedicated 7730 amd graphics, 6 gigs of ram, 500 gb hard drive

remember you get what you pay for so depending on your budget you can get a 2 grand laptop with a quad core and best laptop graphics

and can u tell me what does he mean by saying

Others: Lowest / OFF

Also do u think the one u said(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...) is better than the Asus N55SL i said for BF3

by others he probably meant other graphic settings such as: shadows, ambient occlusion, texture filtering, and such so basically he maxed out the texture settings and turned everything down
i cant think of all the graphic settings in bf3 from the top of my head

and yes the laptop i've linked you with is better since it has a Dedicated graphics and not the Integrated graphics. Think of integrated graphics of being cheap, mainly used for basic web browsing, powerpoint but they are weak when it comes to rendering 3d images in a game. Thats why you want dedicated graphics, dedicated graphics are better optimized or faster when it comes to playing games and having the eye candy turned on

To get a laptop for bf3's recommended specs you will need to spend around $1300. An i7 isn't needed but it helps alot.

Ok i quess there is a fight between AMD and Nvidia? or AMD and intel i am not sure.. not expert...

I am willing to spend about 1300 dollars(1000euros), so in the nvidia site it says GeForce GTX
The ultimate GPU for gamers. Delivers fastest performance and all the latest gaming technologies.

So i searched geforce gtx in newegg.com and with 1050 dollars u get this one(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...) with gtx 660m.. is that one good? is the 680m and 670m a lot better than 660m?
October 30, 2012 7:04:09 PM

The 680 is probably out of your price range. Sadly $1300 gets better quality then 1000 euros. You should look for the gtx 675m or the 670m. In the laptops I would suggest at 1300 are sager bp9170 and the halloween special at Ibuypower.com at 1400 I would suggest msi gt70 202. The gt70 008 is another good buy. A gtx 660 vs 670 there is a decent difference.

EDIT A suggestion

The Asus he linked to, once you have Google translate it, says it has a GeForce GT 635, not integrated graphics.

Hi :)

This is very basic....

To Play BF3 at all you will NEED a dedicated graphics card in the Laptop NOT integrated...

Also forget Manufacturers battery figures..... playing BF3 on battery you will be lucky to get 2 hours on most modern lappies...

All the best Brett :)

wow I can't believe people are swayed by PR Marketing and not tests and benchmarks. i thought that was reserved by Apple

1300$?

I spent 600$ and play maxed ultra.

You only need a 2500k or 3570k with a gtx 570 to get 60 fps

None. i7 means nothing to gaming. The GPU is everything, and that has a god awful one.
October 31, 2012 3:41:46 AM

For a beginner gamer i would suggest that you get an MSI GE60 (around $939-$999) you can get one with an I7 3610/3630qm and GT 650m/660m

YOU NEED A DISCRETE GRAPHICS CARD to play modern day games at nice fps.
Always go for nVidia 630+ (Or 540+)
and go for Radeon 67XX+ or 77XX+
The laptop you listed is overpriced about $250 for its specs
