Take two hands and grasp the LCD display around the middle metal (not the
screen) and gently fold it down until you hear a click.
If that doesn't work you can use a hammer of your choosing and bang it until
you hear the click. Kicking and sitting on it should work as well.

All kidding aside. Is it binding when you try to close it? If so don't
force it. If it's in warrantee call Dell. If not look in the yellow pages
for computer repair.
