TECH: Space Harrier - Dim Title screen

I had my SH upright at CAX this year. Late Saturday night, I noticed the
title screen was so dim, it could not be read. At that point, the density
of the image during game play was not affected. I let it go for another
hour. After the hour had passed, the screen seemed to dim in and out during
game play.

I just fired it up after a week and a half. The title screen is very dim.
Attract mode is just fine though. I am sure, after an hour or two, the
density will start fluxuating. Self test for PCB and CRT passed.

Gameplay is normal. Possible capacitor death march?

Any advice is appreciated.
