No icons in visible and working Taskbar

Running under Windows XP, programs that are currently running don't show
up in the taskbar. The other toolbars (Media Player, Language Toolbar),
the system tray (notification area), and the Start Menu work fine but
no active program icons.

I have one toolbar that seems to be stuck right next to the Start menu
icon. I can move the other toolbars left and right but whichever
toolbar is left-most is stuck there and doesn't want to move.

If when you lose something that you realize you use it so much.
