I thought my laptop was toggling between battery and dc but I pulled out the battery and it still seems to do the same thing. With the battery in, it took much longer to toggle, the screen would go dim like it was switching to battery mode and 30 seconds later it would go bright again like normal.
My laptop wouldn't start up so I pulled out the battery and it started up fine. I thought that might fix the issue but it still toggles. The difference was that it is much faster. The screen goes dim for like a second before it goes bright again. Anybody know what could possibly cause this?
I know I hear my laptop sounds like the fan is going full blast and I think it might be a heating issue. But I really don't know.

I'm going to try to update my video card drivers and see what happens. I'm not sure thats gonna help but I'll give it a shot and see. Also gonna take apart my laptop and reapply thermal paste on the cpu and see.
FWIW, it didn't work. Anyone know what the issue could be? I don't want to disassemble the whole laptop if I don't have to.
