xp pro is locking up

xp is locking up after 10-15 minutes, started doing this yesterday, i havn't installed or remove any anything and there are no errors in the event log. i have no idea what to check. the system is part of a lan and i do have anti virus software and a firewall up. is there any software i can run to find out what is causing this. xp was installed about a week ago and there is very little software installed

Hmm, if it's a consistent 10-15 minutes, I'd have to guess it's a heat issue. I had a cpu fan break on me once so it didn't spin anymore. This caused my computer to lock up every 15 minutes or so too. The only way I really noticed it was I had just finished building it and the case was still open. Take a look.
