I need to know i could get a PNY 5600 Ultra for 30.00 but i love playing half-life 2 so.....but its so damn cheap. Refurbed 9800 pros run for about 100.00 on newegg I need an answer ASAP PLEASE!

i guess i could muster up that much money but then i might aswell get a 6800 vannila for 142.00 but is the price/performance ratio of the 5600 ultra better than the 9800, and i know my cpu would be a bottleneck for the 6800.
just wanna play some Half-life 2 at best setting and i know that the 5600 is a DX 8.1 card but its so cheap. Thank You

unh? the 5600 is DX9, but its really not a good performing card stay away from it 9800 should be the minimum you go with!

ya i was readin up on 8500LEs and i guess theyre just 8500s with lower clock speeds lol. but ive made up my mind im gonna be future proof and stick with the 6800.

Whatevers cheap and refubed lol, ive seen em as low as 141.00$
cheapest one roght now is 170.00$ though so i gotta wait longer.

Yeah, the FX5600U is a DX9 card, but it defaults to DX8.0 in HL2.
