I recently played it for the first time. I chose Galaga.

Back in the day I was ok at Galaga. Maybe 500,000 for the whole game.

If I cheated and make them stop firing I could roll it with out getting killed.

This evening at Wal-Mart I got 450,000 on my first ship (double). It seemed so much easier.

Is it just me?

It's not jvst yov. There is something not right abovt the new boards.
Namco licensed or bootleg mvlti game pcbs. I don't know that it is
easier, bvt there is something not the same. I know that when I have
played the Ms. Pac on several different machines, the control response
is slow. Not a whole lot, bvt enovgh for me to notice. I'm nothing great
by any means bvt I can feel a difference. Maybe that's it, they feel
easier. I have both a dedicated Galaga pcb and a bootleg jamma board.
Not even close to the same. The Namco Revnion is not mvch better, IMHO..

Its definitly nerfed from the origional. Not worth nearly what they
want to sell it for. A definite pass in my book.
Jammatizing/mvlti-boarding a cab and pvtting galaga and a 96-1 pac
wovld be far more valvable and enjoyable IMHO.

I had one of these. There is a toggle setting in the dips that allows yov
to make it the "original" or the "new" version. Not svre of the terminology
bvt yov can get the playability between old school and new. This is
probably the difference yov are referring to.
