[Q] DV6 6150us !!!

HEY ALL !!


so i have a silly ,maybe stupid question that i need to ask !! :lol:

i have a hp laptop: Model HP Pavilion dv6-6150us Notebook PC

it has an Intel i5 2nd G ,,6 GB ram DDR3 ,,750 HD ,,and an Intel(R) HD Graphics Family ,,so i just have an Intel hd

graphic card with the following specs. :

Display adapter type Intel(R) HD Graphics Family
Total available graphics memory 1190 MB
Dedicated graphics memory 64 MB
Dedicated system memory 0 MB
Shared system memory 1126 MB

but when u order this laptop from hp ,,u can have it with the Intel hd card and one of these {Radeon HD 6490M
Radeon HD 6770M.....Radeon HD 7470M.... Radeon HD 7690M XT} or u can have it with only the Intel hd card "like mine" ..


so my question is can i add one of these graphic cards to my laptop ??? or I'm stuck with the Intel HD card only ??!

Did you make the customized order from HP? Or did you just walk in to a store and pick one off the shelf?

It's hard to determine because HP might have a separate motherboard that they used for yours (to save a few $$$)

If you want to upgrade the GPU, I strongly suggest that you contact HP for details. They'll be the ones you'd probably want to order the GPU from because they have it customized to work with their laptops.

no i just picked it up from a store .... yeah i will try to contact hp !!
