I have a digital camera system that is based in widows2000 pro. When I
save a pic in jpeg form to a 3 1/2 floppy I cannot read it back on my
windows xp dell. I get an error message saying that the disk needs to
be formatted. I can read the files on the 2000 system, and I can even
read them on an old windows 98 system, but not on xp. What am I doing
wrong?

Go to start/run, and type COMMAND, and log the floppy drive. Copy the file on, and then try running CMD to log to the floppy again.
